Czech Technical University (CTU), Prague

Šárka Němcová received her PhD degree at CTU Prague in 2002. During her PhD thesis, she developed a novel spectrometer for low-temperature plasma characterization. Currently, she is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of CTU Prague. She also works at HiLASE, where she designs high-power specialty lasers. Her areas of expertise are optical imaging devices for healthcare and holography.

During her presentation, she will demonstrate her ophthalmic endoscope for posterior segment surgeries and dive deep into the design, assembly, and validation process of the device. She will also share insights about efficient collaboration between doctors and engineers.
